Teacher Biography

Esther Bulger is a violinist in Merced County. Her interest in music was first sparked as a 3 year old, listening to her mother and older sister play violin and piano together. She didn't know it at the time, but this core memory in her formative years would eventually lead her down a path of making music of her own. She began playing piano at the age of 11 and violin at the age of 12. She continued on to college where she earned an Associate's, Bachelor's and finally a Master's in Music Performance.

Throughout her education, Esther has enjoyed performing with many local groups including the Fresno Philharmonic, Mariposa Symphony Orchestra, a few chorale accompaniment orchestras and her family's Verrinder String Quartet. She recently performed with the Motherlode String Quartet, serenading Tuolumne and Calaveras Counties (motherlodestrings.com) and has also participated in the Sonora Bach Festival (sonorabach.org).

In addition to performing, Esther also teaches violin, beginning piano, and Musikgarten classes. She has completed training in and is certified in both the Suzuki Violin Method and Musikgarten. Esther firmly believes that you are never too young (or too old) to enjoy the benefits of music. Whether you are 1 or 100, there’s a place for you at Esther’s Music Studio!
